Beefsteak 

Easy to cook beef steak with minimum effort. Its the simplest pan fried recipe to cook steak although there are other methods like marinate with various seasonings, can be grilled or slow cooked.

Now, one big question is what cut should be a beef steak?

Recommended beef is from Loin or ribs as these portions are tender meat. The tender or soft meat must be fried quickly to retain its softness. 

However if its not tender cut, the tough piece can be tenderized by meat mallet, it has to be cooked on low heat. Salt helps tenderizes the meat, another prepare a marinade (we’ll leave that for another time), lastly the fried steak must be allowed to cool down soon after cooking.


Ingredients:

  • Beef Boneless 200g
  • 1 Tablespoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper (Freshly Ground)
  • 2 Tablespoon Olive Oil or as required

Instructions:

  1. Apply olive oil equally on both sides of the steak
  2. Sprinkle salt and pepper to cover the meat thoroughly on all sides
  3. Rub the seasoning into the steak with hand to properly absorb and set aside for 10 min
  4. Heat Pan on high heat, add some oil and place the steak on the pan
  5. Let it fry till its brown on both sides then turn the heat down to low
  6. Check the meat by sticking a knife into it to see if its tender
  7. Once cooked, take it off the heat and let it rest for 5 to 10 min

The tasty and juicy steak is ready to be served/ Enjoy with steak sauce
